Node.JS

Node.js is a popular open-source, cross-platform, back-end JavaScript runtime environment for building scalable and high-performance web applications. It was created by Ryan Dahl in 2009 and has gained widespread popularity among developers due to its efficient and lightweight architecture. 

Google developed the V8 engine used in Google Chrome as the foundation for Node.js. It provides an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model that makes it an excellent choice for building real-time web applications, such as chat applications and games, as well as data-intensive applications that require high throughput and low latency. 

One of the key benefits of using Node.js is its ability to handle a large number of simultaneous connections with high throughput, making it ideal for building real-time applications. It uses an event-driven architecture that allows developers to write asynchronous code, which means that I/O operations do not block the execution of other code.
